The
Barras de Piaxtla is 59K north of Mazatlan on the Toll Highway 15 (Cuota). If you rent a car at the airport, turn left onto
Highway 15 and drive north towards Mazatlan, staying on Toll Highway 15 north following the signs to Culiacan.
After leaving Mazatlan, after about 32K you will go through the toll
station. From there continue north to kilometer marker 59. Go under the bridge and turn right at the emergency phone
onto the dirt road across the cattle guard. Go west back over the highway bridge and turn left at the large chicken
farm. Continue on the dirt road about 5 kilometers following the signs to El Mirador Restaurant and Las Barras.
Continue
into the village, past the baseball field. La Rosa is directly across the street from the Kinder (kindergarden) that
has Winnie the Pooh on it, on the left, on the beach.
